On Sunday, ESPN launched a new interactive series called Sports Meet Live.
The idea is that fans can watch sports events live, with highlights and videos recorded by their favorite sports personalities.
The show will be available in two parts: part one will be a daily recap of each day’s events.
The second part will feature a daily segment with a celebrity and their respective team.
ESPN is not only using the technology to bring fans closer to their favorite athletes, but it also hopes to give viewers an opportunity to interact with athletes in real-time.
“We are excited to give fans the opportunity to see the athletes in action live from the comfort of their own home,” ESPN Sports Editor in Chief David Gettleman said in a statement.
The series will be launched as part of ESPN’s effort to increase fan engagement.
