Meet the top sports clubs in the CBD in a new book.
The Meet the Kings Sports Guide features top sporting clubs and schools in the Sydney CBD and highlights how their athletes excel at different disciplines.
The book was released on Thursday by The Sporting Club, a national sports education organisation.
Its co-founder, Tony Kostelanetz, said the book was inspired by the success of clubs like the Western Bulldogs, Adelaide Crows, St Kilda, North Melbourne, Greater Western Sydney, West Coast Eagles and Brisbane Lions.
“We really love that we have the opportunity to create a book that is just as much about the game of football as the sport itself, which is an area where we really like to focus on,” he said.
“This book is really a way to do that.”
The book, published by The Sport Institute, aims to make sport accessible to the average Joe, while also highlighting the different pathways players can take to their sporting career.
“There’s a whole lot of opportunities for young people to find their own paths in sport,” Mr Kostelsanetz said.
The guide is the second of a three-part series, the first of which is available on The Sporting Book website.
