College football fans and pundits are starting to come around to the idea that the college football season is really just the beginning of what’s to come for the college game.
This trend has become so widespread that it’s even been dubbed the hype train.
For a team that had a losing record in 2013, the Crimson Tide have an almost unbeatable record this year.
The only problem is that they’re going to have to play a lot better than that to beat Alabama.
If you’re like me, you may be wondering why Alabama has been the dominant team in the SEC this year, given the team has won just three games in the past five years.
The answer is pretty simple.
Alabama is playing a very good defense this year and that defense has allowed just two passing touchdowns.
That’s a testament to the talent that Alabama has on defense.
The Crimson Tide are also playing a great offense this year thanks to some of the best offensive playmakers in the nation.
In fact, Alabama has only allowed six passing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks this season.
It’s no surprise then that the Crimson Raiders are leading the nation in rushing yards, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
And they have scored on just three of their 20 first downs this season, giving the team a very strong rushing attack.
I’m not saying that the Alabama offense is the best in the country, but it is a very well-balanced offense that has the ability to make plays on the ground.
Defensively, Alabama is also doing a very nice job on the interior, where they’ve been ranked first in scoring defense, second in total defense and third in rushing defense.
These three stats, combined with the Crimson Raider defense, have allowed just three passing touchdowns in the last five games, which has been a huge difference.
With a great defense, a strong running game and a solid running attack, Alabama should be able to run away with this one.
But as we saw with the 2013 season, the hype trains are usually going to catch up to the train when it comes to the college season.
It will be interesting to see how the hype plays out in 2017, as Alabama will be trying to get back to the title game after losing three straight games.
